Hey, Alaska, we've got some heavy rains in the forecast, which are anticipated to last through the weekend. This is a friendly reminder to always check 511.alaska.gov for any potential travel impacts.
* Richardson Highway MP 4: Be aware of single lane closures as water continues to rise. We are flagging this closure until the water recedes.
* Lower River Bridge in Keystone Canyon is being monitored as waters rise. As of now the bridge remains open and is structurally sound.
* Richardson Highway MP 200-201: Watch out for small slides and creek out washes along the road. Crews are monitoring this area and addressing debris in the roadway.
* Extreme rainfall is expected in Cordova through Saturday evening. Crews are monitoring and responding to areas of flooding.
