The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has launched new radio and digital advertisements across Alaska to thank Senator Dan Sullivan for his role in making the 20% Small Business Tax Deduction permanent. The campaign is part of NFIB’s ongoing advocacy supporting the deduction, which aims to provide tax relief for small business owners.

The ads recognize Senator Sullivan’s vote to secure the deduction and prevent what NFIB describes as a significant tax increase on small businesses. The organization highlighted that this action offers stability for entrepreneurs in Alaska.

“Making the 20% Small Business Tax Deduction permanent is a big win for Main Street,” said NFIB Alaska State Director Thor Stacey. “By voting to protect this tax relief, Senator Dan Sullivan has given small business owners in Alaska the certainty they need to grow their operations, continue creating jobs, and give back to their communities. NFIB appreciates his leadership in standing up for small businesses in our state.”

The deduction was originally introduced through the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. It allows qualifying small business owners to deduct up to 20% of their income, aiming to balance competition between smaller firms and larger corporations.
