The Alaska Marine Highway System (AMHS) has released its Winter 2025-26 schedule for public review and comment. This schedule, which includes sailings from October 1, 2025, through April 30, 2026, is available online for interested parties to examine.

Public feedback is encouraged and can be submitted in writing by July 22, 2025. Comments may be sent via email to dot.amhs.comments@alaska.gov or faxed to 907-228-6873.

To facilitate public input, two virtual meetings are scheduled for July 22, 2025. These meetings will take place at the Alaska Marine Highway’s Ketchikan Central Office located at 7037 North Tongass Highway. Participants can attend these sessions either virtually or in person.

The AMHS aims to design its schedule to accommodate special events in coastal communities as much as possible. The department invites the public to submit information about such events so that necessary adjustments can be made. If service disruptions occur, the department will work towards contracting supplemental services.

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities manages a vast network including airports, ferries serving numerous communities along marine routes, highways, and various public facilities across the state. The department’s mission is “Keep Alaska Moving through service and infrastructure.”
