Alaska Airlines announced May 7 that it will add three seasonal destinations from Santa Rosa and resume flights from Long Beach to Seattle.

The new Santa Rosa routes to Boise, Phoenix and Salt Lake City start Nov. 1, 2026. The Long Beach-Seattle route begins Sept. 8, 2026, with two daily flights, according to the airline.

Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport recorded 780,637 passengers in 2025, marking a new record for the facility, as reported by the Press Democrat. The airport, located in Northern California’s Wine Country, has seen steady growth in passenger traffic and flight departures in recent years. Alaska Airlines maintains the largest share of operations at the airport, which serves as a key gateway for the North Bay region and surrounding communities.

The Bureau of Transportation Statistics showed U.S. airlines carried 81.2 million systemwide scheduled service passengers in December 2025. Network carriers are actively adding routes to improve connectivity and meet traveler demand for direct flights between regional hubs and popular destinations.

Alaska Airlines was founded in 1932 and now serves more than 120 destinations across North America and Central America, including Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Belize. The carrier is a member of the oneworld alliance and recently integrated with Hawaiian Airlines.
